Our monthly meeting is upon us this Wednesday 17 July 2019. It’s at the usual time (7.30pm) and the usual place (the City Hellenic Club, 13 Moore Street, Civic).
This month’s second half speaker is Shane W Smith who’s an Australian graphic novelist based here in Canberra. His books cover a range of speculative fiction genres from epic fantasies to zombies. His talk will outline some of the unique benefits and attributes of working in comics as well as provide a quick-fire overview of the tools that a comic creator has in their arsenal, with a short exercise to put the theory into practice. There will also be ample time for questions and discussion at the end. It’s sure to be an interesting night and Shane’s experience and expertise will provide an insightful and unique perspective as a published graphic novelist in the speculative fiction world.
